Giuseppe Ferrara and Cinzia Somarè
are Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teachers authorized by the Sharath Yoga Center (SYC) in Mysore and founders of Dharma Shala Ashtanga Yoga Monza and Brianza. Their story stems from a daily practice carried out consistently over time, day after day, year after year. They have been teaching Ashtanga Yoga for almost fifteen years, initially in other spaces and, since 2016, in their own shala, always keeping the Mysore practice and the direct transmission of experience at their core. Over the years, they have traveled extensively in India, returning several times to Mysore, where they practiced and studied directly with Sharathji Jois, deepening their understanding of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in its traditional form and experiencing firsthand the context from which this practice originated, naturally deepening their understanding of yoga philosophy and pranayama. In 2016, they opened Dharma Shala together, a simple and vibrant space built around the natural rhythm of practice. Here they teach every day, early in the morning, during lunch break, and in the evening, accompanying a community of hundreds of practitioners that has grown naturally over time, thanks to their continuity, presence, and daily dedication. Their teaching reflects what they experience on the mat: perseverance, respect for individual time, and trust in their practice—elements they share authentically even in retreat settings.
